The Chiquitanía, the most affected ecosystem

The rains recorded in the second half of October in the department were enough to mitigate the fires in this area, where some indigenous women, elderly people, and children were forced to abandon their communities to protect their lives, while the youngest members of the community struggled to mitigate the flames night after night.

Community firefighters and volunteer firefighters (many of whom were trained in early response to wildfires), armed with tools, limited logistics, and some experience, faced the flames day after day, trying to defend their forests, crops, and homes. Clearly, they are not enough to cope with the magnitude of the disaster; more firefighters, more tools, equipment, and logistics are needed.

In the areas where the Natura Foundation works, wildfires have intensified since August, severely affecting forests and some protected areas. The Natura Bolivia Foundation and local communities have been working tirelessly to control the spread of the fire in the Bajo Paraguá municipal protected area.
In this context, through an emergency support proposal, AGROBOL, COMITÉ PRO BOLIVIA, and MAUTINO PRODUCTIONS are requested to support these emergencies.

With these resources, Fundación Natura Bolivia worked with local communities and specialized firefighters, coordinating efforts to protect biodiversity and affected communities, providing food, tools, and fuel to firefighters, and working to recruit more allies to fight the fire.

Solidarity Club for the Bolivian Chiquitania

The Bolivian Eastern Groups (AGROBOL), the Pro Bolivia Committee, and Mautino Productions wish to express our sincere recognition and fraternal gratitude for your invaluable support at the "Solidarity Party for Bolivian Chiquitania," held on September 22nd at the Diamond Lounge.

Thanks to the generosity and dedication of all of you, we managed to raise funds totaling $20,681.00 (Twenty thousand six hundred eighty-one 00/100 USD), significant aid that will be used to support efforts to mitigate forest fires in the Bolivian Chiquitania and their impacts.
Thank you to the entire community for your support: the volunteers, media, artists, photographers, organizations, restaurants, influencers, and the public who supported this worthy cause.

The money will be channeled through the Natura Bolivia Foundation (BOLIVIA NATURA FOUNDATION 10685-B Hazelhurst Dr. #23792 Houston, TX 77043 USA, EIN 45-3337460), who will be responsible for transferring the aid to the frontline volunteer firefighting institutions that need it most.

Your support will not only provide immediate relief, but also send a message of hope and solidarity to those fighting on the ground for our beloved Bolivia.
Thank you again for being part of this noble cause. Together we're making a difference.

THANKS TO THE WHOLE COMMUNITY…!!!
The general objective of "Supporting the mitigation of forest fires in four municipalities of the Bolivian Chiquitanía (San Ignacio de Velasco, Concepción, and San Javier)" was 100% met.
